For some years now we have been a member of the IR4I Cluster, Innovation & Research for Industry, a network comprising 28 companies working in the aerospace and aeronautics sector, with about 2000 employees and a turnover of 500 million euros in total.
The companies of the Cluster have skills and competences recognized in international markets – for example in F.1, racing and automotive engineering, ranging from packaging to advanced mechanics – and in many cases have become global reference points with very high quality standards and with surprising results in terms of performance and capabilities.
The aim of IR4I Cluster is to support with continuous actions the integration of requirements among companies, in order to compete in international markets and to promote the capacity for innovation and research.
Each company is controlled and certified through the training and qualification of specialized operators with the task of improving management, documentation and integration of standards; in fact, they must have an ISO qualification and more than half of the companies have the ISO 9100 certification for the aerospace sector, which is essential for accessing to aeronautical qualifications.
- In 2018 we have been to Russia together with other 5 companies from the Cluster. We visited some companies and contacted the Russian Cluster.
- In 2019 we attended the Le Bourget aeronautics/aerospace fair in Paris.
- This year, in December, we will attend the Aerospace & Defense Meetings in Turin, concerning once again the aeronautical/aerospace sector.
Thanks to this collaboration and to the professionalism of the companies that are part of the IR4I Cluster, we face the challenges of the future always researching for better performance and keeping up with technological and market evolution.
